Everything you need to know before your first visit.
Booking & Getting Started
How can I book an appointment?
You can submit a request through the Book an Appointment page on this website, message @alzakiphysio directly on Instagram, or reach out on WhatsApp. You will be contacted to confirm your appointment.
Can I contact Fatima through WhatsApp?
Yes — message +973 3630 8033 on WhatsApp, or DM @alzakiphysio on Instagram if that's easier.
Do I need a doctor's referral to book a physiotherapy appointment?
In most cases physiotherapy can be accessed directly without a referral, though this can depend on your insurance provider. Check with your insurer if you plan to claim your sessions.
Where is the clinic located?
Fatima practises at Cure Physio Center — Shop 107, Building 515, Road 1332, Block 813, Isa Town, Bahrain. See the Contact page for a map and directions. It's open Saturday–Thursday, 8am–8pm, and closed on Fridays.
Your First Appointment
What happens during my first physiotherapy appointment?
Your first appointment focuses on assessment: understanding your symptoms, medical history, movement patterns and goals, followed by a clear explanation of the proposed treatment plan.
How long is a session?
Session length varies depending on whether it is an initial assessment or a follow-up treatment session. Exact durations will be confirmed when you book.
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothing that allows easy movement of the area being assessed or treated — for example, shorts for a knee assessment, or a loose top for a shoulder assessment.
Treatment & Expectations
How many sessions will I need?
This varies from patient to patient depending on the condition, its severity, and how you respond to treatment. Your treatment plan will include an estimated course of sessions, reviewed and adjusted as you progress.
Can physiotherapy help with chronic, long-standing pain?
Physiotherapy can often help manage and reduce the impact of chronic pain through movement, exercise and education, though outcomes vary by individual and condition. It does not offer a guaranteed cure, and your specific case should be discussed during assessment.
